interaction

Our purpose as your IBM user group is to both receive information from IBM, and also provide a feedback channel & advocacy to key stakeholders within IBM.  Did you know that over 60% of the upgrades to OS/400 7.1 came as a direct result of input from Interaction and Common members?

Interaction aims to foster leadership and communications across a range of interested parties, for the nett gain of its members.  We aim to provide this through an incorporated charter, to build the community, facilitate communications and networking to its members.

New Look - New Direction

Interaction has been successfully rebranded and now has a dedicated team of focused individuals operating behind the scenes to bring our members, industry vendors and other partners together.  This volunteer team is spending considerable hours to bring you the Power clients of IBM together on a regular basis for YOUR benefit.

Tasked with this project the board of your user group has assembled the necessary people from within IBM and with serious commitment to Interaction, we will form an active group of individuals & companies whose voice will be heard to senior IBM staff and Power System hardware and software vendors.

“It gives me great pleasure & confidence to announce that our new way forward is now launched.” says President Frank Tidswell.

Incorporating the latest news feeds from the labs and other press releases, together with regular Webinars, Podcasts, yes Podcasts! Coupled with traditional tasks, such as face to face meetings, distribution of hard copy that comes into Interaction, and industry leading speakers, you can be sure we’re not doing any of this by halves!  We welcome back all existing colleagues, and will strive to add to our membership over the years to come.

Coming up soon is the annual IBM Technical Symposium, which I can recommend to all concerned, as a discounted price is the event of the year and not to be missed in either Auckland and Melbourne.

IBM speakers such as Steve Will, IBM Chief Scientist will be there, as well as 30 more senior speakers, education and vendor showcases, coupled with staff from IBM US and EMEA this is an event not to be missed!

Let’s get moving!
